PROJECTS

OVERVIEW

The Projects toolbar covers everything from creating a new project using a wizard, to adding new Project Zones through to copying a complete project. We also have some great tools for exporting data such as SOLIDWORKS to RISA 3D and our DSTV CNC NC1 Export.

PROJECT COMMAND CENTRE

The very first feature that you will be confronted with is the Projects Command Centre, here you will be able to:

  • Open a previous Project Zone assembly
  • Add New and Remove Zones
  • Create New Projects with a Project Creation Wizard
  • Copy a Project
  • Archive and Restore a Project
  • Change and Update Project Settings

NEW PROJECT

A wizard is used to create NEW Projects.... Our New Project Wizard makes it easier to setup a project and get going faster. With each step a project can be established and shaped to form the feel of just about any project with settings such as:

  • Automated Filing with Project and Project Zones (Sub Assemblies below the Project Assembly)
  • Project Root location
  • Consolidation Level either at Project or Zone Level
  • Project Drawing Sheet Templates
  • Automatic insertion of Selected Driving Sketch Components
  • Metric or Imperial Units

Within the Wizard a Page askes the user what Zones are required for the project and creates them automatically at the end of the wizard.

The Next page is where project settings such as The Vault location for the project, which standard of library and sections to use, if consolidation is on or off and if it is at project or zone level. Which Projection, First or Third, which units Metric or Imperial and to use a custom marking system.

The Next page is for allocating driving sketches to each Zone from the library.

INSERT ZONE

As you work on a Multizone Project, you might want to either insert an existing zone into the top level project assembly or in another assembly to check for intersection points, or insert a connection to tie zones together.

APPLICATION SETTINGS

Change the location of where the library is stored, the default project vault location, and see which libraries have been installed.

RISA 3D EXPORT

Export Structural Steel data from SOLIDWORKS to Risa 3D by creating a native RISA 3D File.

RISA 3D IMPORT

Similar to Export, Import does the reverse by comparing new versus old and places new sections and updates existing sections to match that changed from the Imported RISA 3D File.

DSTV CNC EXPORT

DSTV CNC NC1 Export converts a Section or plate to an NC1 file for beam line cutting. For more detailed information Learn More about DSTV CNC Export
